![]() ![]() Anyway it’s pointless but it was a fun experiment. My headphone jack doesn’t work but it might be unrelated. I had to modify the power button bracket and reuse the 6s one (also for the volume buttons) I jailbroke it via Checkra1n and added newer iOS features. It works like a normal vibration motor but it’s stronger than the default iPhone 6 one. I did however cut off a part of the speaker by the vibration motor to fit but it still surprisingly works (unless it’s too loud, then it’s garbled and staticky) I originally used the iPhone 6 vibration motor but I was experimenting with an aftermarket Taptic Engine from a 6s. ![]() Unlike when I put an iPhone 8 logic board into an iPhone 7 frame or an iPhone 5s logic board into an iPhone 5 frame, I didn’t have to sand down a few standoffs. ![]() I have an iPhone 6 that I got on eBay that’s on iOS 12.5.1 and I had an extra iPhone 6s that was locked so I decided to fit some 6 parts into a 6s frame. Discussion Modded an iPhone 6 to fit an iPhone 6s frame and even retrofitted a Taptic Engine and used tweaks to feel like iOS 15. ![]()
